Tony is off to Stoneleigh Park today for this weekends Model Railway exhibition with a truck full of trestle tables. Meanwhile Jezz has been given the local runs today in and around Nottingham with more trestle tables plus some aluminium bar furniture in what has been a very busy week for this time of year here at B E.

The big spring clean at BE

With the quieter winter months it’s given us chance to give the warehouse a good tidy up. Tony’s been painting the floor all week, Jez has decorated all the offices and canteen and Mark has spilt paint on every surface possible. Job creation we call it!

Meanwhile, James has been tidying up the 7.5T body’s. Not sure if he’s quite complying with our health and safety policy balancing up there with power tools but at least he’s wearing his high viz!

Well it was a busy day for all at BE today as we had a 40′ container arrive full of new blowmold furniture to add to our hire and sales stock. Well, I say it was a busy day for all, but Jez got out of unloading the container yet again as he had a far more important job to do.

BE Prepares for Christmas

We’re well into winter now here at BE so we’ve been busy supplying furniture to all the Christmas party’s and events throughout the midlands over the past few weeks.

We’ve had several works party’s to supply to as well as some Christmas markets and fayre’s. James, Jez and Mark have been out and about in our fleet of vans and 7.5T trucks whilst Tony and Ant have had a couple of trips out in the artics in the last couple of weeks. We supplied just over 2600 tables to the ExCel in London at the start of the month so that kept us all busy getting everything ready for that.

We’ve been selling well for the past few weeks too. Strangely we’ve sold lots of garden furniture in the last couple of weeks. Not really the weather for it but I’m guessing people must be buying it now ready for next spring. We’ve got 3 containers of furniture arriving at the start of the new year so I’ll keep you posted on what exciting new products we have as soon as they arrive.

It’s been all hands on deck this last few weeks making tables in time for a large event that we are supplying to in London this weekend. We’ve had to make around about 300 extra tables in a couple of weeks so Tony, Mark and Ant have been working all hours to keep up with the demand. We’ve got over 2600 6′ x 2’6″ trestle tables going to the event so it will be several trips in the artic for Ant and Tony now that Rambo has left us for the winter.

Elsewhere here this week James and Jez have been taking care of the local delivery and collections and Neil has spent his last few weeks hand checking all of the 2600 tables for this weekends hire!

Our sales seem to have picked up too which is good if a little unusual for this time of year. We seem to be selling quite a few aluminium garden sets for some reason. Not really the weather for it but we aren’t complaining!

Lots going on here at B.E as usual. Firstly though I would like to say well done to Luke for passing his driving test, well done Son youll soon be a B.E trucker !!

Its all happening at the NEC this week with us supplying furniture to three big events. The three regulars for us are ”Memorabilia”, the “National Model Railway Exhibition” and last but not least the “Supreme cat show”. The latter got me thinking and I ended up googling “pussies” as you do. Well you can imagine the type of thing that came up!!
